The brief

Networking groups deserve more than a spreadsheet.

Calibre built Instant Refer, a subscription-based SaaS that simplifies referral management for small business owners. The referral system gives businesses tighter communication and full control over what they send and receive.

Registered members send referrals to trusted contacts in their network. The sender tracks the referral's status through every step. Both sides see the whole process.

What we built

A subscription platform for the people who live on referrals.

Recipients update referral status as it moves through stages: "not contacted," "in progress," "completed." Both parties see the same picture, in real time.

The referral system records the financial value of each referral. Members track monetary impact and weigh the benefit to the business. Recipients add comments and notes to keep a record of every interaction.

Beyond referrals, Instant Refer lets users build and manage connection lists. They log member-to-member meetings, which builds collaboration and strengthens relationships.

Built on ReactJS for the front-end, .NET for the back-end, SQL for the database. Calibre ran user experience testing to make sure the system holds up in daily use.
