The database migration is the easy part and it is the part everyone quotes on. The reason upgrades stall is the custom work, and almost nobody will tell you what happens to it until they have your money. That is the first thing we do.
Runs on the target version with no change. You keep it and it costs you nothing to carry forward.

The custom module solved a gap that standard Odoo closed two versions ago. Dropping it is cheaper than moving it.
You get that list in writing, along with the recommended target version, the route to get there, and a fixed-fee quote for the upgrade itself. If the honest answer is that you should not upgrade yet, the list says that too.

Where we work. We are based at 1925 18 Ave NE in Calgary and work on site across the Calgary region, including Airdrie, Cochrane, Okotoks, Chestermere and Strathmore. Elsewhere in Alberta, including Edmonton, Red Deer, Lethbridge and Medicine Hat, and across the rest of Canada and the United States, upgrades run remotely. The work is the same either way, since the sandbox and the cutover both happen on your infrastructure rather than in our office.
Cost and sequence
We inventory every custom and third-party module on your database and produce the survive / rework / delete list, the target version, and the route.
You get a number for the upgrade itself, built from the list. Nothing is estimated hourly and nothing is discovered halfway through.
The upgrade runs on a copy. Your team tests it while production carries on untouched, and we hand over a written change list of what moved.
Production moves on a date you pick, usually outside business hours.
You know the assessment cost before it starts, and you know the upgrade cost before the upgrade starts. There is no hourly meter running in the background.
