Does Odoo Have a Native Shopify Connector? Odoo 19 and 20 · Calibre Consulting

Odoo and Shopify: what is built in, and what is not.

Odoo 19 and 20 include no Shopify connector. Here are the native routes, what each needs from your plan, and what any sync must cover.

This guide helps you decide how to connect a Shopify store to Odoo, or whether to move the store into Odoo instead. The short answer: neither Odoo 19 nor Odoo 20 includes a Shopify connector, in Community or in Enterprise. The only marketplace connector Odoo ships is for Amazon. The native routes are to sell from Odoo's own eCommerce app, or to build a sync on Odoo's external API. This guide explains both, what each one needs from your plan and hosting, and the data any connector has to handle, so you can scope a project or check a proposal.

It is written for owners and operations managers who sell on Shopify and are planning an Odoo project. The Odoo behaviour described was checked against the Odoo 19 and Odoo 20 source code and Odoo's own documentation in October 2026.

Before you start

What Odoo 19 and 20 actually include

The standard code of Odoo 19 and Odoo 20, Community and Enterprise, contains no Shopify module, and no Shopify app appears in the list of installable apps on an Odoo 20 Enterprise database. The marketplace connector Odoo does ship is the Amazon Connector, an Enterprise app, with two add-ons for it.

Shopify appears in standard Odoo in one place: in Odoo 20 Enterprise, the website import tool recognises a Shopify store and copies its products into Odoo. That is a one-time copy for moving a shop, not an ongoing sync.

Odoo's 19.0 documentation also contains unlisted pages for a separately sold Shopify connector app, which say it works only on Odoo.sh with version 19.0. Its listing on the Odoo Apps Store is labelled third party, is priced separately from the subscription, shows Odoo Online as not supported, and had no Odoo 20 version on 13 October 2026. It is not part of standard Odoo, so this guide does not assess it.

Option 1: move the store into Odoo eCommerce

If the goal is to have orders, stock and accounting in one system, the native answer is to sell from Odoo's eCommerce app, Odoo's online shop, which exists in Community and Enterprise. Orders placed on it are Odoo sales orders from the start, so there is nothing to sync. The cost is the move itself: the shop has to be rebuilt in Odoo's website builder, and anything your store gets from Shopify apps would need an Odoo equivalent.

In Odoo 20 Enterprise, the website import tool does part of that move. It reads a Shopify store's products through Shopify's public interface without extra setup. Odoo's documentation gives a limit of 100,000 products, says each variant's SKU is stored in its Internal Reference, and notes that imported pages are not an exact replica and may need adjusting. You must own the website you import.

  1. Open the Website app and go to Configuration > Settings.
  2. Click Import Website at the top of the settings. A window titled Import Your Pages and Products opens.
  3. Enter your shop's address in Website URL.
  4. Keep Import Website on if you also want the pages, and turn on Import Products. The message Shopify API detected. confirms that Odoo has recognised the store.
  5. Click Import my website. Odoo sends a notification when the import is complete. Importing products installs the eCommerce app if it is not installed yet.

Odoo's documentation describes this tool for pages, products and blog posts. Plan separately for open orders, customers and stock quantities, for example with Odoo's standard spreadsheet import.

Option 2: build a sync on the external API

If Shopify stays as your storefront, the native route is a custom integration: a program that reads new orders from Shopify and creates them in Odoo through the external API, then sends stock levels and shipments back. Three facts shape the cost:

The integration signs in with an API key. To create one in Odoo 20:

  1. Click your profile picture at the top right and choose My Preferences. We recommend doing this as a dedicated integration user with only the access it needs, because the key acts with that user's rights.
  2. Open the Security tab and click Create API Key (in Odoo 19 the button is Add API Key). Confirm your password when asked.
  3. Enter a Key Name, and if a Scope choice appears, choose RPC. Pick a period under Expires, then click Create Key.
  4. A window titled Write down your key shows the key. Copy it now; Odoo does not show it again.

What any Shopify connector has to sync

Use this list to scope a custom build or to read a proposal. It follows the data types in Odoo's own Shopify documentation and the way Odoo's Amazon Connector works.

How to choose

Choose Option 1 if one system matters more than keeping Shopify's storefront, and your shop can be rebuilt in Odoo's website builder. Choose Option 2 if Shopify must stay, and budget for the Custom plan, the build, and upkeep. Odoo's Shopify documentation pins a Shopify API version, which suggests any integration needs maintenance as Shopify's interface changes.

Check that it worked: test the plan

  1. On a test database, run one real Shopify order through end to end: sales order, delivery, invoice, payment, then a refund that arrives as a credit note.
  2. Rename a product in Odoo and confirm the next order still matches it by SKU.
  3. Run the order sync twice in a row and confirm no duplicate sales order appears.
  4. Change a stock quantity in Odoo and confirm Shopify shows it after the next scheduled run.
  5. Get written confirmation of the Odoo plan, hosting and Odoo version the solution needs, and who upgrades it when you move to the next Odoo version.

Steps verified on Odoo 19 and 20. Menus and labels can differ on other versions.

Common questions

Does Odoo 19 Enterprise include a Shopify connector?

No. The standard Odoo 19 code, Community and Enterprise, contains no Shopify module. The only marketplace connector Odoo 19 ships is the Amazon Connector, an Enterprise app.

Does Odoo 20 have a native Shopify connector?

No. Odoo 20 has no Shopify sync either. Its only built-in Shopify feature is the Enterprise website import tool, which copies a Shopify store's products into Odoo once.

Can I import my Shopify products into Odoo?

In Odoo 20 Enterprise, go to Website > Configuration > Settings, click Import Website and turn on Import Products. Odoo's documentation gives a limit of 100,000 products and stores each variant's SKU in its Internal Reference. Odoo's spreadsheet import is another option in any edition.

Which Odoo plan do I need to connect Shopify through the API?

Odoo's pricing page, checked on 13 October 2026, lists External API access under the Custom plan, and counts software that calls into Odoo as External API use. A custom Odoo module also needs Odoo.sh or your own server, because Odoo Online does not host custom modules.

What should a Shopify and Odoo integration sync?

Orders, products matched by SKU, stock levels, shipments with tracking, returns, refunds as credit notes, and invoices and payments. It should also record when it last synced, so a re-run does not create duplicate orders.
